Selegiline Hydrochloride is the hydrochloride salt form of selegiline, a levorotatory acetylenic derivative of phenethylamine with antiparkinsonian effect. Selegiline Hydrochloride is a selective, irreversible inhibitor of Type B monoamine oxidase. Selegiline is an inhibitor of monamine oxidase used in the treatment of depression and as adjunctive therapy in combination with levodopa and carbidopa in the therapy of Parkinson disease.
